Success Beyond Sight Welcomes Kiran Kaja to the Board of Directors

Having been born blind because congenital retinal dystrophy, Kiran grew up in Hyderabad, India where access to assistive technology and support for blind students was nonexistent. So when Kiran discovered that he can use computer as a blind person at the age of 18, Kiran realized the transformative impact that technology can have on the lives of blind and visually impaired people.

 

Kiran brings a unique perspective to disability, accessibility and inclusion due to his background in working in corporate and nonprofit sectors and in a number of countries. Kiran led a diverse Accessibility program team for Search, Assistant and news at Google ensuring that these products are helpful for everyone including users with disabilities. Kiran is about to take up a new role leading the accessibility program for Instagram. Kiran also held accessibility leadership roles at Adobe, SAP Labs and Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB UK).

Kiran obtained his degree from Pondicherry University, India: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
